Advice can be found in the most unusual places

Dr. Alvin Danenberg was recently encouraged by a fellow dentist to understand the science of evidence as it applies to taking care of a patient's mouth. As he writes, the only problem is that this dentist based his science on the view that the mouth is an island unto itself with little influence from anywhere else in the body.
