Can CBCT accurately measure periodontal pockets?

An accurate measurement of a patient's periodontal pockets is needed for proper treatment planning. What if there were a way to image these pockets with cone-beam CT (CBCT) so you knew their depth more precisely? A new study took the first steps down this road.
