Inside the hangar at the Greater Binghamton Regional Airport on a winter day in late February 2016, Dr. Richard Bedosky stole a glance at the long red and black stripe on white 1966 Piper Aztec airplane behind him, the one he'd flown for the last time. "I can come and visit it," the then-85-year-old said to the crowd assembled before him, "maybe shoot the fat with anybody working on it and share stories about it."
