Adam G. Denish, veterinarian at the Elmwood Park Zoo, has collaborated with doctors for humans to treat the animals, including two squirrel monkeys with diabetes. Obstetrician Rebekah McCurdy agreed to provide assistance this summer to the Philadelphia Zoo if there were complications with the impending birth of an endangered gorilla.
