Pennsylvania officials are advising families who use the CHIP program to continue to take their children to the doctor and dentist, and to make new appointments as needed. The advice comes after U.S. Congress recently adjourned for the holidays without reauthorizing CHIP, which provides free or reduced-priced health and dental insurance for children from families with lower incomes.
